Millenia was selected as project consultants and provided expertise in the design and construction of the private villa development, ranging from adaptation of the original villa design to site specific and planning division requirements, modification of villa’s layouts, design of villa plunge pool and decking, design of all decks, design of the bungalows and the beach house, structural and civil engineering for the site and the structures through Project Management: Solicitation of Tenders and supervision of the construction.
The villas were originally designed by famous Venezuelan architect Fruto Vivas. Our architects worked closely with the client to effect the adaptations of the original design, the resulting master plan included 6 villas with own plunge pool or Jacuzzi, 7 two-storey bungalows, a beach shed, an administrative/custodial building and annexes structures, access to the nearby secluded beach, and various look-out platforms which afford magnificent views of the surrounding natural environment.
The entire outlay would be connected by softly illuminated foot paths that would create a romantic ambience at night.
The first phase of the development meant the erection of two of the aforementioned villas and two of the bungalows, the beach shed and the pathways linking the different structures. All living structures are built on pillars to maximize the airflow under the building and to minimize their environmental impact. The timber on the structure will add to the natural look of the resort and will promote the project as a Unique, prestigious villa “romance” destination in the Caribbean. The involvement of Millenia in the design and during construction phase was priceless. Through combined efforts of innovative architectural design and expert engineering support from sister company SCL, the aims of populating this escape destination with beautiful structures that harmonize with the immediate environment were met.
Satisfied by the quality of the work provided by Millenia, the Client engaged us once more to manage the second phase of the development.
